This project is a submission to the Game Mockup Jam, and is not a real game. Feel free to make non-commercial derivative works (CC-BY-NC license) - except for any NFT related projects.
When the rest of her sisters go missing, it is up to Thiten, the youngest of the Nine Sisters of Avalon, to traverse the uncharted isle to uncover what happened. With her lyre in hand, she sets off on adventure to befriend new and strange beasts, battle dastardly knights and strengthen her magical power!
My optional theme inspirations were:
- Wow, it's fantasy, I see dragons and knights from here.
- Chilly, cozy, you just get serotinin from these flowers and friends.
- Gotta collect all the cute critters/toys/stickers.
An encounter with the mysterious Questing Beast - part snake, leopard and deer. It's hiding away from treacherous hunters, so don't be surprised if it's a little on edge...
What could be making all that noise in the graveyard behind the deserted chapel?
Scale the castle and fight foes with magical musical spells!
Gameplay ideas I had while making this mock-up:
- 8 seperate regions to explore and uncover, each relating to the other sisters of Avalon
- Your lyre is the weapon of choice - all spells, and the majority of interactions, are sound related. Fight knights, put beasts to sleep, lure them out of hiding or befriend allies through your music!
- Imbue your magical lyre with waxes, tinctures and oils made from wildflowers and mushrooms you collect along the way - different ingredients unlock new spells and cause status effects (sleep, poison, stun etc.)
- Fill out the extensive Bestial Compendium with the creatures and beings you meet along the way, and call on them during boss battles
- Meet famed figures from Arthurian legend including Merlin, The Lady of the Lake, Arthur, The Green Knight...but be careful - they're not all friendly

this concept is so magical! Love the softness of the visuals and the color palette!
